Privacy policy
Effective 22 October 2026. Bharat Sumedha collects the minimum needed to read and answer introduction requests. No marketing list, no sale of personal data. This policy is framed around India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Data fiduciary
Bharat Sumedha is the data fiduciary for bharatsumedha.com. Reach us at partnerships@bharatsumedha.com.
2. What we collect
Only what you give us or what is needed to serve the page securely:
- — Introduction form: first name, last name, work email, organisation, message.
- — Correspondence: emails you send to partnerships@bharatsumedha.com.
- — Technical: basic server logs (IP, user agent, pages requested) for security.
We do not ask for government IDs, financial details, or other sensitive data.
3. Why we use it
- — To read and respond to your introduction request.
- — To assess fit and, where relevant, open a channel under NDA.
- — To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
Legal basis: your consent when you submit the form or write to us, and our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
4. Sharing
We do not sell personal data and we do not build a marketing list. Data is seen only by the founding team and, where strictly needed, infrastructure providers that host or deliver this site and our email — bound to process it only on our instructions.
We disclose data only if the law requires it.
5. Retention
Introduction requests are kept for up to 24 months so a conversation can resume, then deleted or anonymised. Server logs are kept for up to 12 months. If a commercial or NDA relationship follows, its agreement governs retention from there.
6. Security
Transport encryption in transit, restricted inbox access, and minimal collection by design. No method is perfectly secure, so do not send secrets or sensitive personal data through the form — introduce yourself first and we will open a secure channel where needed.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may ask for access, correction, erasure, or withdrawal of consent for your data, and you may nominate another person in case of death or incapacity. Write to partnerships@bharatsumedha.com and we will respond. You may also approach the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Children
This site is for institutional counterparties, not children. If you are under 18, do not submit the form.
9. Changes
We will post any new version here with its effective date. Material changes to how we handle introduction requests will be described on this page.
